Avicultural Society of Tucson

The Avicultural Society of Tucson (AST) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. The main objective of AST is to share information about birds, to educate new bird owners as to the proper care, diet, housing and socialization of their birds, as well as share possible dangers to their birds, in order for them to live a long, happy, and healthy life.

AST was formed as a bird club in 1983, with its first elected President, Robert McCord, who is currently an Honorary Member.  Two other people important in getting this club on its feet were Bill Cook and Vern Wilson (both deceased). Our many thanks to all of the great folks who have worked through the years to help make AST what it is today!
